網上流傳國際奧委會、俄羅斯或法國電視台的巴黎奧運獎牌榜把中國、中國香港及中華台北代表團合併計算。惟國際奧委會並無發佈該獎牌榜，亦無證據顯示俄羅斯或法國媒體曾發佈該獎牌榜。
