Today, our long-range sanctions once again worked to limit Russia’s oil revenues, which it uses to finance the war and the killing of Ukrainians. Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the aggressor’s facilities more than 1,300 kilometers from the front line. The Bashneft-Novoil refinery was hit in Bashkortostan. In the Yaroslavl region, nearly 700 kilometers from our border, the Slavneft-YANOS refinery was hit. Our responses to Russian aggression in the Black Sea were also successful. In particular, two military patrol boats and shadow fleet vessels were struck. I thank all the warriors of the Defense Forces who are systematically expanding our long-range capabilities and thereby increasing the chances for diplomacy. Russia must choose peace — @ZelenskyyUa

Pinned: 🇺🇦🇬🇧 Acting Minister of Defence of Ukraine Evgeniy Khmara met with the UK Secretary of State for Defence @wesstreeting. The UK has guaranteed long-term support for Ukraine—at least £3 billion annually. Our focus: • Strengthening Ukraine’s air defence: more capabilities to counter ballistic and cruise missiles, faster deliveries of radar systems, expansion of radar coverage. • Enhancing air capabilities: support for the project to supply Gripen fighter aircraft equipped with Meteor missiles. • Countering Shahed drones: delivery of hundreds of anti-drone missiles this year. • Ukrainian drones: funding for the production of Ukrainian unmanned systems, including through revenues generated from frozen Russian assets. Grateful to the United Kingdom for its leadership and steadfast support for Ukraine.

Unfortunately, supplies of anti-ballistic capabilities from partners have decreased significantly this year. The number of air defense missiles supplied has dropped threefold compared with 2025. And this concerns not only this summer period, but every period of the first half of 2026. Our partners do have the missiles. It is important that the necessary political decisions on supplies and the acceleration of production processes are ultimately made – including decisions on localization in Ukraine.

🇺🇦🇪🇺 Every new Russian attack reinforces one simple principle: Russia must pay. Today’s additional €1.4 billion generated from immobilised Russian sovereign assets will reinforce support for Ukraine through the European Peace Facility and the Ukraine Loan Cooperation Mechanism, strengthening our defence and sustaining long-term military assistance. Russian assets must continue serving Ukraine’s security, not Russia’s war. Thank you, @VDombrovskis, @kajakallas, @EU_Commission and all EU Member States for your continued support.

As of now, 44 people have been reported injured in the massive Russian strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Another 17 people, tragically, were killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. It was a heavy strike – 24 ballistic missiles, 4 Zircon/Oniks missiles, and another 115 drones, a significant number of them jet-powered. The main targets of the attack were warehouse facilities belonging to civilian businesses. There were also strikes on infrastructure and a railway station. These facilities had nothing to do with the war – a brewing company, construction materials warehouses, and civilian logistics facilities. Ballistic missile interceptors could have saved the lives of those killed today. It is very important that our partners understand that delays in supplying them, or an unwillingness to provide anti-ballistic systems, lead directly to such horrific casualties and destruction. Partners who are not yet ready to play a more active role in supplying interceptors can help by implementing new sanctions. A significant share of Russia’s ballistic missile production is still not under sanctions. Even now. New steps are needed – from the G7, the European Union, and everyone who supports the protection of life. Thank you to those who are willing to help in this way. — @ZelenskyyUa

Evgeniy Khmara, Acting Minister of Defence: Today is Air Force Day in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From the first days of the full-scale war, Russia wanted free use of Ukraine's skies to strike our people. It failed, because our aviation and air defence did not let the enemy do it. The Air Force shielded the sky. Since 24 February 2022, Ukrainian air defence has destroyed over 445,000 aerial targets. Among them: Kinzhal and Kalibr missiles, Kh-101s, Iskander-M ballistic missiles, tens of thousands of Shaheds, reconnaissance UAVs, Lancets and other enemy drones. Over four years of full-scale war, Air Force aviation has flown more than 38,000 sorties and destroyed over 12,000 enemy air attack assets: aircraft, helicopters, missiles and drones. These are not just numbers. These are cities protected. Lives saved. Threats destroyed. And this is the strength of the people who hold Ukraine's sky. Pilots. Engineers. Technicians. Radar troops. All our aircrews and firing crews. Every day you repel attacks and master the most advanced equipment, from Raven to Patriot, from MiG-29 to F-16. Defending the sky, sadly, comes at the cost of losses. We remember every man and woman who gave their life for Ukraine's sky. We are working to give you more modern weapons. More technology. More capability to shoot down targets, save lives and strike the enemy. Thank you for your service and your results. May the number of landings always equal the number of take-offs.

Grateful to Ukrainian warriors who are bringing the war back to Russia and responding to its attacks against life. Our targets are consistently defined facilities that sustain the war effort. Middle strikes were carried out overnight, with successful hits in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. A sanctioned Russian container ship, Yanina, sailing under the Russian flag and with a capacity of more than 100,000 tons, was also struck. Thanks to the precision of our Defense Forces, it was sent to the bottom. Also overnight, Security Service of Ukraine units struck the infrastructure of three Russian oil refineries in Bashkortostan. The targets were nearly 1,600 kilometers away. These refineries process millions of tons of oil each year. Thank you for your precision! We continue applying our just pressure. We continue to carry out our deep and mid-range strikes against Russian infrastructure facilities that prop up Russia’s aggression. Our strikes under the long-range sanctions plan are always about justified responses aimed at depriving the Russian war machine of its resources. In particular, today action was taken against three logistics centers in different regions of the Russian Federation – in Sarapul, Kazan, and Volgograd, at distances ranging from around 500 to nearly 1,300 kilometers. In the Krasnodar region, a maritime terminal was hit. The facility is about 270 kilometers from the front line. Also, nearly 480 kilometers from the line of contact, an oil refinery in the Volgograd region was hit. There were also successful strikes in the Sea of Azov. We are protecting our people and will continue to act as necessary to achieve peace. Thank you to all our warriors who are delivering these precise and important results for Ukraine — @ZelenskyyUa

RT by @DefenceU: I held a Staff meeting. For the first time in this Staff format, the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatyi, reported on the situation at the front. The key sectors, with particular attention to Slovyansk and Kostiantynivka, as well as the Zaporizhzhia direction. I am grateful to all our units for eliminating Russian occupiers and repelling assaults. The situation at the front is tough, and we will look for opportunities to expand all programs supporting Ukrainian units. We discussed the implementation of our long-range sanctions plan against Russia for its war. Implementation is sufficiently steady – the objectives are being achieved. We also discussed in detail the logistical challenges, Russia’s strikes on Odesa and the region, on port infrastructure, and the maritime corridor. There were reports from the relevant agencies: the Ukrainian Navy – Oleksiy Neizhpapa; the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine – Oleh Ivashchenko; and the Government of Ukraine – Sergii Koretskyi. The Prime Minister reported on work with the partners in our region that can expand cross-border cooperation with Ukraine. I am grateful to our neighboring countries for their readiness to provide real assistance. Next week, I expect to receive from the Government a clear list of measures to ensure the diversification of export routes. Effective cooperation on grain exports and ensuring normal logistics is a contribution to global food security and to preventing a cost-of-living crisis from spreading in countries and regions bordering Europe, particularly in the Middle East and countries in North Africa. Any social instability there caused by a possible rise in food prices and the overall cost of living would mean new tangible risks for Europe. Every such crisis in regions neighboring Europe triggers additional waves of migration. Therefore, genuinely guaranteeing food security and protecting against Russian terror targeting the agricultural sector and maritime trade routes is in the direct interest of all of us in Europe. There were also intelligence reports on Russia’s intentions to launch further strikes against Ukraine and our vessels. We are preparing countermeasures. Today, we updated the list of requests from Ukraine’s Defense Forces for the supplies they need from our partners. I will speak with leaders about this. Glory to Ukraine!
