Here's my recipe. One more note. This is the first chili I've made or eaten that doesn't upset my stomach the next day! I've tried for years to find a chili that doesn't do that. I think using roasted tomatoes, sautéing the veggies first and the long cook time has diminished the acid.

Ready for some rain? Saturday will have on-and-off rain with totals ranging from 0.25" - 0.50". I can't rule out a report of up to quarter size hail in a place or two, but that risk is very low.

Saturday will be a cool and wet day. Showers and few rumbles of thunder (nothing severe) will be scattered around the area most of the day. High temperatures will be stuck in the low to mid 50s for most of North Texas. The will return for Sunday afternoon.

Did you hear sirens this morning during the storms? Did you know they are NOT just for tornadoes. Most NTX cities adopted guidelines in 2009 to also sound sirens for winds of 70+mph and 1.5" hail. Some cities like Denton, Keller and many others will sound them for 1.25" hail.
