RT by @tconnellyRTE: If there’s one person who understands the strategic reality on the ground in Europe, it’s General Ben Hodges. He spent years commanding U.S. Army Europe. He knows exactly how the Kremlin operates. In this latest interview with LBC, the General doesn't pull any punches.
He lays out the cold, hard truth: while Trump is playing political games and taking two-hour coaching calls from putin, Ukraine is fighting for its life—and for the security of the entire West.
Hodges cuts right through the 'peace deal' noise to show how the current US administration is effectively carrying water for the Kremlin by pushing a narrative of Russian 'inevitability.'
This is the voice of reiason we should be listening to before the Trump administration sells out Ukraine..
LBC Presenter: Ben, your reaction to what we've heard from President Trump over the last few hours?
Ben Hodges: Well, unfortunately, it's clearer now than ever before that President Trump is unfortunately taking the side of the Kremlin. I mean, to have a two-hour phone call with vladimir putin before you go into a meeting with President Zelenskyy—of course, that gave putin the opportunity to give the President all of the talking points, which the President then used during the meeting and during the press conference.
It's just... it was embarrassing. I think it was probably his worst performance in a long list. But to hear the President of the United States basically carry water for the Kremlin by talking about the "inevitability" of a Russian victory, and "why not just have a deal now so you don't lose it later"—that reinforces putin’s main narrative.
And then, worst of all, was the false equivalency of "Russia's attacks on Ukraine" and "Ukraine's attacks on Russia." I mean, Russia is attacking civilian infrastructure—apartment buildings, hospitals, the energy grid. Ukraine is attacking oil and gas, and military targets. There is no equivalency there.
And then the final thing that I thought was just so galling was the President saying, "Well, you know, if we have a ceasefire, it would be very difficult for putin to start his military back up again." He was actually expressing sympathy for the challenge the Kremlin would have in restarting their military operations.
LBC Presenter: And also saying that he "thinks putin wants what's best for Ukraine"—which I imagine will go down like a bucket of cold sick in Kyiv.

RT by @tconnellyRTE: Almost a day passed and Russia still hasn’t provided any plausible evidence to its accusations of Ukraine’s alleged “attack on Putin’s residence.” And they won’t. Because there’s none. No such attack happened.
We were disappointed and concerned to see the statements by Emirati, Indian, and Pakistani sides expressing their concerns regarding the attack that never happened.
It is even more surprising given that all three states failed to issue any official statements when a real Russian missile struck the real Ukrainian government building on September 7, 2025.
Russia has a long record of false claims — it’s their signature tactic. For instance, Russia claimed it wouldn’t attack Ukraine in the beginning of 2022. They also often accuse others of what they themselves plan to do. Their words should never be taken at face value.
Such reactions to Russia’s baseless manipulative claims only play into Russian propaganda and encourage Moscow for more atrocities and lies.
We call on all states to act responsibly and refrain from responding to unverified claims — this undermines the constructive peace process that has been advancing lately.

RT by @tconnellyRTE: The allegations of there being a 91-drone attack on Putin's residence at Valdai are, quite simply, absurd:
1. The Russian MoD initially reported 89 drones for ALL Russian regions (only 18 in Novgorod, where Valdai is).
2. Residents did not report air defense activity.
3. There is no photo or video evidence of an attack.
4. The area is a GPS dead zone - difficult for drones to navigate.
5. There are at least 12 Pantsir-S1 air defense systems are permanently stationed around the Valdai complex - it would be a tremendous waste of resources for Ukraine to attack the residence, with little or no chance of success.
6. Ukraine, while having the capability to strike the residence, has never done so in nearly four years of full-scale war.
7. Such an attack would sabotage Ukraine's own interests, by giving fascist Russia an excuse to increase its air campaign, strike Ukrainian government buildings, and harden its negotiating stance in the peace process.

RT by @tconnellyRTE: Russian manipulations regarding the alleged “attempt to attack Putin’s residence” are fabricated for only one reason: to create a pretext and false justification for Russia’s further attacks against Ukraine, as well as to undermine and impede the peace process.
Usual Russian tactic: accuse the other side of what you are doing or planning yourself.
First, Russia has already struck the Ukrainian government building this year.
Second, Ukraine only strikes legitimate military targets in the Russian territory—in response to Russian strikes at Ukraine.
Third, Russia is the aggressor, and Ukraine is the country that has been attacked and defends itself according to article 51 of the UN Charter. There can be no false equivalence between the aggressor and the country defending itself.
We urge the world to condemn provocative Russian statements aimed at derailing the constructive peace process. Ukraine remains committed to peace efforts led by the United States, with the participation of European partners.
