literally the most transphobic thing to happen in the last decade was insinuating that transsexuals and transvestites are anything alike

RT by @Rose_Of_Dawn: Like all trans women who transitioned in the 2000s, I have spent plenty of time around fetishistic crossdressers. Back then our communities were in the same spaces. And here’s what happened - they’d dress up and immediately want to show you explicit pictures of themselves - sexualized outfits, erections framed by lingerie. It was never about community. It was about turning others into an audience for their arousal. They literally got off on it, right there, and seemed oblivious or indifferent to consent. Progressivism blurred the line between transsexuals and transvestites. Instead of keeping clear clinical distinctions, it lumped us together under “transgender.” So the man who takes a low dose of estrogen to feminize his face but carefully tailors the dose to continue erections is counted in the same category as the woman who undergoes surgery because she can’t survive otherwise. One lives in a cycle of dressing up, being seen, and masturbating to the attention. The other is trying to build a life. They are not the same. And progressivism has also made it taboo to notice the difference in the behavior of trans women and fetishistic crossdressers. Well, I'm sorry, but there is a difference in someone that wants to get surgery and get on with life and someone whose idea of being a woman is sexualizing themselves on social media incessantly. All of this is obvious to people on the outside of the trans community. I don't know why we're pretending the etiology doesn't exist - it's like denying America was formed from a revolt against the British. I don't have anything against fetishistic crossdressers, just like I don't have anything against people with a force feeding fetish or a sadomasochism kink. But I have every right to not want to participate in their sexual behavior without consent.
