I’m trying to collect a list of all foreign translations of my books, but it’s surprisingly hard to track some of them down. The attached table shows the translations that I am aware of. If you know of any not in my table, could you very kindly put a link in the comments?

You could make a case ( I wouldn’t) for abolishing the women’s category in a competitive sport, opening it to all humans. But there is no case for a separate women’s category if men such as Lia Thomas & Imane Khelif are allowed to gatecrash it. You cannot have it both ways.

Oxford’s new Life and Mind building is simply wonderful. Would-be students take note. Oxford is about to become THE place to do biology. This is so good to see, after the sudden destruction of the previous building eight years ago.

Nature used to be the world’s most prestigious science journal. Now it’s one of many accused of favouring authors because of their identity group rather than the excellence and importance of their science.

Appeal to @Akai_Pro EWI players (if you don’t know what an EWI is, just ignore this message and please do not reply).
On my AKAI EWI Solo, I suspect that my left thumb is not making reliable contact with the two knurled octave rollers. The symptom is that, on this octave and this octave alone, I continually find the instrument dropping to the octave below, and it’s very annoying. Has anyone else encountered this problem? And do you have a remedy?

Entangled Life by @MerlinSheldrake is one of the best works of scientific literature I have ever read: intelligent (a scientist can be good at philosophy), informative (I learned so much), inspiring (almost every sentence made me pause for thought), beautifully written (this author has a real way with words). The vignettes of autobiography add to the appeal. A marvellous book.

Loretta. The world of trans-activism is one big Monty Python sketch – except that its po-faced pomposity drains it of all humour. Referee of paper on endometriosis requested “women” be replaced by “people with female-identified reproductive organs.” Quoted in The War on Science.
