"I spent 6 to 7 years battling illness. May we not experience hardship in our old age. I don't smoke. I am not a drinker. I was going to a location, and I suddenly felt a sharp chest pain down to my back. Within 10 mins i wasn't feeling comfortable. When i got to the work location, I saw Remi Surutu, and I explained to her how I was feeling. She said its Ulcer. I was fasting; it was during Ramadan. I didn't want to break the fast. But it got to a stage I couldn't take the pain anymore, so I ate. The following day i went to the hospital for a scan. When the result came out they saw the damage the ulcer had done. I spent 6 to 7 years battling that illness; I would vomit. For seven months I prayed while sitting. Even if I ate rice with a spoon as small as a baby's spoon, I would vomit every grain. I was only able to eat 'Eko' - cornmeal. It was a terrible period. I was so sick I appreciate everyone who helped me then. Someone even called me from the UK; they said they were at the church, and for a good 45 mins they were fervently praying for me. May God bless everyone who stood by me then. I didn't lose anything during those 7 years' sickness, other than the fact that I couldn't go to location. In fact, I didn't sell a single thing in my properties. People really stood by me then; I'm grateful. In fact, the tooth I got in Mecca, it was a removable tooth. I threw it away because I thought everything was done, that I would die then.
