Northern Ireland population same as a single health trust in Manchester. Yet apparently we need 5 health and social care trusts and an ambulance trust with ever increasing layers of ‘senior management’ to deliver by far the worst health outcomes in UK. See the problem yet?

Despite having the unique advantage of an integrated health & social care system, under devolution social care in N Ireland has been underfunded, undervalued and struggled for political attention. The system is broken. We must not be excluded reform debates. @andyburnham

Totally agree, for too long social care has languished in the shadow of the universal NHS Health and social care fully devolved, but N Ireland does not have capacity to fund & deliver separate system Please see work of @ImpAdultCare a £15m, 4 nation evidence gathering project.
