RT by @CliffEdgeNI: If the Chancellor wants to present a Budget based on the values of fairness and opportunity, the Budget must include scrapping the two-child limit and benefit cap in full.
These polices have driven the staggering increase in child poverty in the UK - now at a record high of 4.5 million.
Children in low-income families needing support should all be treated equally and receive the same payment per month.
Without scrapping these policies in full, the UK Government will not be able to deliver on their pledge to reduce child poverty, and thousands of children will be denied the start in life they deserve.
The Chancellor has pride in her investment in children so far, but this next step is vital to make sure as many children are lifted out of poverty as possible.

RT by @CliffEdgeNI: Scrapping the two-child limit in full is the most cost-effective way to reduce the number of kids living in poverty, pound for pound. So when the chancellor is facing difficult decisions, it doesn’t make sense to implement a less efficient half-measure.

RT by @CliffEdgeNI: Fully repealing the two-child limit is by far the best way to ensure fewer children are growing up in poverty.
Half measures have been mooted, but our modelling reveals that they would all still lead to an increase in child poverty by the end of the decade.

RT by @CliffEdgeNI: A partial lifting of the two-child limit at the Autumn Budget would still leave child poverty rising and would risk creating levels of hardship not seen under a Labour government for more than half a century.
It must be scrapped *in full*.

RT by @CliffEdgeNI: It's not just us that wants you to scrap the two-child limit to benefits @RachelReevesMP, over 40 economists, academics, and policy experts back us too.
The two-child limit generates savings of around £3.6 billion per year, but it's the largest driver of rising child poverty in the UK. The cost of child poverty to the UK economy has been estimated at £39 billion per year – more than ten times the savings generated by this policy.
Removing this cruel policy at the Autumn Budget in full doesn't only make moral sense, it makes economic sense.
