Error with hostinger when saving page

Published: March 16, 2025 23:05

I usually disable mod_security through cPanel because an error occurs when saving pages. However, one of my clients is with Hostinger, and I couldn’t find mod_security there. I’m encountering the following issue: when I make changes and save the page, a…

Textpattern demo sites - status updates, issues, downtime, et cetera

jakob wrote #338814: I’m guessing you’re joking but please no shorter. Sometimes you want to try something out on the demo and not have it all disappear before you’re done, or can show someone. I am definitely joking. It’s hourly-on-the-hour for…

Adventures in Linux Land

Published: March 13, 2025 16:37

For personal use, I leave everything in a single partition except for /home. Then I can run multiple OS and my work files are shared. For a web server, www would be in /home. I also back up /home fairly often, but don’t bother with backing up OS files.

wet_feed_image - insert article image in feeds

Published: March 12, 2025 14:16

This plugin makes the article image appear automatically in your RSS and Atom feeds. This a fork based on Christian Sandberg’s csb_feed_image. I’ve adopted this orphan and made it run in the latest Textpattern and PHP incarnations by adding a few double…

[plugin] [ORPHAN] csb_feed_image - insert article image in feeds

Published: March 12, 2025 14:12

I’ve adopted this orphan and made it run in the latest Textpattern and PHP incarnations by adding a few double quotes. Look here, if you dare: codeberg.org/rwetzlmayr/wet_feed_image

Plugin development and publication using ais_txpplugin_packager

Published: March 11, 2025 12:00

If anyone is interested, this is now available as a part of a simple GitHub action, so you can automate your releases using workflows on GitHub. This is derived from an internal tool, but I’m on a mission to clean-up and publish a bunch of things lately. …

smd_img_alt: Boilerplate alt text with automatic replacements

Published: March 9, 2025 16:47

Uploading images en-masse is a pain, especially for sites with many of them. As well as uploading the images (such as product photos), you should supply meaningful alt text for each, which is an overhead. This plugin may ease the drudgery. Simply install…

in app browsing

Published: March 9, 2025 07:20

I recently had a complain from a friend who registered for our newsletter but never received our emails. After “interrogating” him I found out that he registered using Instagram app’s browser. Now, I am yet to test this but I did do a search and found…

Sitemap with hreflang

Published: March 8, 2025 23:30

Slightly complex problem. In a multi-lingual site, rather than adding meta hreflang tags to every article that may or may not have a translation (thus bloating the page with tags as the number of translations grows) I’m thinking of adding the hreflang…

I’ve been playing around a bit with your various plugins, Eric, and have made a few minor fixes for my own purposes, such as using the core nonce-aware functions for embedding css and js, removing some trailing UI elements, standard help text formatting,…

Modifying txp-save-zone / pane-header?

Published: March 8, 2025 09:50

I also admit preview/view is not the best terminology. There are a lot of them splattered throughut the page and it’s not obvious what they do. How do we get across the difference more concisely and cleanly so people know what each does? Is it just a case…

TXP 4.8.8 compatible to PHP 8.2++

Published: March 7, 2025 15:21

The title says it all. Is TXP 4.8.8 compatible to PHP 8.2, or further? I am running multiple txp installs on a shared host, which only allows to set one PHP version for the whole account. Since some of the other software requires at least PHP 8.2 i am…
