std: migrate all `fs` APIs to `Io` Just to have it documented here (for release notes): This breaks stack walking on freestanding by making things like captureStackTrace implicitly depend on std.Options.debug_io.

std: minimal CLI parsing driven by struct fields What about taking a getopt-ish approach to allow users to reorder arguments? (Apologies if this was already discussed on GH; I’m still catching up on the thread).

std: minimal CLI parsing driven by struct fields i like that - it's worth noting i've seen a CLI or 2 (can't remember off the top of my head) that handle positionals differently before and after --. i don't think it's worth supporting that use-case, but…

std: fix compilation errors in debug/Dwarf/abi.zig when targeting tvOS We are not doing further 0.15.x releases. This should be fixed for 0.16.0 with the std.debug refactor and subsequent improvements.

netbsd: use correct symbol for lwp_park Thanks for catching this @mikdusan, sorry for the bug; I did see this alternative symbol in the NetBSD source tree but incorrectly determined it was unnecessary somehow!

Migrate all applicable I/O APIs to `std.Io` @KilianHanich please file a new issue for the use case that you're having trouble with regarding child processes. Iterating on the API will be a follow-up issue to this one.

Implement package fetch retries Thanks for the comments @nilsj , I implemented all of your suggestions and resolved all of them, except the one regarding crypto.random so you can review my solution and see if you like it.

Implement package fetch retries Thinking again though, I can use the timestamp seed and fallback on crypto.random. Don't know why I didn't think of that. I'll try that!

Fail to bootstrap zig on OpenBSD My VM was with 16GiB RAM already. My stack limit was indeed 4MiB and I changed it to 32MiB and ran ninja install again. But it failed the same way as I described in this issue.

std/crypto/Certificate.parseYear4 accepts bogus years I think the simplest way to fix this is to simply check if (@reduce(.Or, (nnnn -% zero) > @splat(9))) return error.CertificateTimeInvalid, if we want to retain the nice SIMD.
